My initial impression of the Hask Cosmetics Monoi Coconut Oil line is that all of these products smell deliciously of coconut. Read on for my review of Hask Coconut Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner, and Shine Hair Oil.
What Hask Says
[Monoi Coconut Oil Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner & Shine Hair Oil]
- moisturizes and revitalizes
- suitable for all hair types
- coconut gourmand scent.
Monoi Coconut Oil is made from soaking petals of Tahitian gardenias in coconut oil. Quick absorbing, it leaves hair soft, silky, and shiny.
Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Shampoo
Most shampoos seem to leave my strands dry and brittle, but this one lathered up quite a bit and left my hair feeling clean but not stripped.
Monoi Coconut Oil Nourishing Conditioner
I typically skip conditioner in favor of a masque, but this conditioner left my hair feeling silky, which may be at least partially because the shampoo wasn’t over-drying.
Monoi Coconut Oil Deep Conditioner
A few days later, I again cleansed with the Nourishing Shampoo this time following it with the Monoi Coconut Oil Deep Conditioner. This masque-like treatment thickly coated my hair and left my curls looking smooth and healthy.
Monoi Coconut Oil Shine Hair Oil
I worked a bit of this into my ends (along with my usual cocktail of styling products), and noticed some shine and added definition. The oil also worked well as a heat protectant before flat ironing and smoothed flyaways without looking greasy.
Overall, the Hask Haircare Monoi Coconut Oil line has left my hair feeling nourished and smelling like Hawaii. I recommend these products to anyone whose hair could use a bit more moisture (which is pretty much everyone, amirite?) The complete Hask Monoi Coconut Oil line can be found at haskbeauty.com.
