I was stoked that my local Walgreens has stocked (at least some of) the new spring ’16 product line from one of my very favorite drugstore brands, Wet ‘n Wild. Read on to find out my first impressions of the Illumi-naughty Highlighting & Concealing Pen and the MegaGlo Contouring palette.
Illumi-naughty Highlighting & Concealing Pen
Apart from its cheeky name, I’m quite impressed by this concealer. I picked up the shade I-vory Into You, which I believe is the lightest shade. It’s a pretty thin formula, which I don’t mind, but might be an issue if you need to cover any heavy duty dark circles. For my needs, it did a pretty good job of brightening my under eyes and disguising the redness on/around my nose.
MegaGlo Contouring Palette
I chose the shade Caramel Toffee, which was the darker of the two palettes at my Walgreens. The formula is completely matte and goes on very smoothly.
-Highlight: The pale yellow highlight shade is eerily similar to my skintone right now, so I used it to set my concealer and swept it up along my cheekbones.
-Contour: The contour shade is kind of warm-neutral, so I used it more as a bronzer (to add some color around the perimeter of my face) than as a true contour. I prefer something cooler toned like theBalm’s Bahama Mama to really carve out the cheekbones.
The only picture of me wearing these products was taken in a poorly lit bar bathroom, so I’ll try to get a better one up soon.
Have you tried either of these products yet?
