This First Impression Friday is on Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in the shade Bronzer.

The packaging is a tropical, palm-embossed green-yellow-purple ombre version of the compact used for several other Physician’s Formula products, with that ventilated under the pan compartment, which houses a wide, flat sponge applicator. Unlike the usual dinky brush, this sponge applicator actually does a decent job of applying product, although it doesn’t blend/diffuse as well as a nice, fluffy brush.
Opening the compact reveals a pleasant coconut scent. The product appears to have a satin finish, in the pan, but applies as more of a luminous, demi-matte.
I’m wearing this bronzer where I would contour but blended up onto my cheekbones (instead of down and out) as well as along my hairline and as a sheer wash of color on the lids. [I’m also wearing Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation in 3.0, Physician’s Formula Nude Wear Touch of Blur in Light Blur, NYX Mineral “Set It & Don’t Fret It” Matte Finishing Powder in Light/Medium, Jordana Easyliner for Lips in Rock ‘n Rose, and Burt’s Bees Blush Basin Lipstick.]
I quite like the look I achieved with this product and see it becoming a summer staple. It’s a warm, sun-kissed hue, and I recommend it as a true bronzer and not for face shaping/contouring.
