Both of these products have been pretty hyped up since their release, so I was psyched to find them restocked at a local CVS. Read on for my first impression/review of the ELF Cosmetics Mad About Matte eyeshadow palette and Contour Palette.
Mad About Matte Eyeshadow Palette
This palette has a decent mix of cool and warm toned shadows. They have impressive color payoff and blendability, especially considering the price point. However, I wish there were a few more light to midtone shades, maybe a ligt grey/blue or copper. I also would’ve loved to see a marsala.
This palette includes four decent sized pans of powder products:a white satin finish highlight, a matte banana highlight/setting powder, a warm toned matte bronzer/contour, and a cool toned matte contour. All four shades are decently pigmented, although I would’ve personally preferred more of a champagne or golden highlight to the white one. This palette also boasts a mirror which covers the entire inside lid and is actually large enough to do one’s makeup in
Overall, I’m quite impressed with both of these palettes and will be on the lookout for more of the ELF ten pan eyeshadow palettes, particularly the rose gold one.
